The discussion on the topic of the Orange Revolution dated 2004 year is presented. The author controverts with the critical opinions of this case considering them to be surface, shallow, and to some extent, inadequate in relation to the complicacy and ambiguity of the situation. The article is an attempt to demonstrate a new meaning of revolution, remove the political basis of it, and show, that in Ukrainian consciousness this concept has acquired a sacral character. The Orange revolution has initiated the alteration of all society, that is why the parliamentary elections couldn’t be interpreted like a defeat of the revolution.
