Abstrakt

The conceptual analysis of theoretical aspects of opposition’s activity as a new legitimate participant of political process under conditions of democratic transformation in post-communist countries based on etymological and institutional approaches has been done.

The narrowing of the ‘political opposition’ category to the institute of political parties as main potential subjects of power was motivated by the need to eliminate other subjects of oppositional activity via the term ‘opposition’.
