Focus and Scope
Journal "UROLOGIYA" uses policy of open access of published materials, sharing the principles of free distribution of scientific information and exchange of knowledge for the sake of global social progress.
To gain more popularity, the journal, being a subscription publication, presents electronic copies of published editions on the own site free of charge.
Users have a possibility free and free of charge to read, download, copy and distribute content with educational and research purpose with obligatory mentioning of the authorship.
Authors can archive post-print (ie final draft post-refereeing) or publisher's version/PDF only after printed version of the Journal is accessible (SHERPA/RoMEO)
Peer Review Process
Whilst considering manuscripts, Editorial Board is guided by high international standards of publication ethic and norms of averting corruption among authors according to the requirements of COPE, WAME and ICMJE.
In the process of considering manuscripts submitted, editorial board adheres to copyright and publication ethic norms.
Interrelation of the editorial board and the author to use the material are assigned legally in the author’s agreement.
With respect of the author’s (authors’) right, those of reviewers, readers and persons involved in the research, editorial board holds confidentiality whilst reviewing manuscripts submitted.
In its turn it is the author’s responsibility for true and accurate information in the materials submitted, he/she warrants that they are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
All the questions concerning duplicating materials in other editions, possible plagiarism or falsification of the results are discussed by editorial board in details. Proved duplication of article(s), plagiarism or falsification of the results is the ground for indisputable rejecting of the article.
Whilst submitting manuscript the author(s) must disclose at the time of submission any and all potential conflict of interest (personal, commercial, financial, relationship of the authors with editorial stuff) or its absence. For detailed information – section D, conflict of interest.

Observance of the principles of bioethics in accordance with the ethical standards of the responsible committee on human experimentation and with the Declaration of Helsinki, as revised in 2008 must be mentioned in the manuscript. Whilst reporting clinical experiments on animals, it must be indicated whether its content and laboratory animals used were in accordance with rules, mentioned in the Law of Ukraine “On protection of animals” (N1759-VI from 15.12.2009) or with analogous documents of other countries. When reporting clinical experiments on patients, they have the right of privacy which must not be broken without his consent. For all articles (manuscripts) that include information, by which patients may be identified in any way (patient’s photo, name, initials, number of a case history on the photo), a signed informed consent to publish must be obtained from the patient.
Submitting manuscript to the journal ‘Urologiya” the author(s) agree with transferring copyright from the author(s) to publisher (including photos, figures, tables, etc.) editor, reproducing materials of the manuscript in the journal, Internet, translation into other languages, export and import of the issue with the author’s article, spreading without limitation of their period of validity both on the territory of Ukraine and other countries. This and other mutual duties of the author and all co-authors separately and editorial board are secured by written agreement by special form to use the article, the sample of which is presented on the site.
Author signs a written agreement and sends it to Editorial Board simultaneously with submission of the manuscript.
