Abstract

The article analyzes scientific researches published in scientific periodicals and domestic and foreign media, and legal documents relating to civil protection claims. Necessary qualities of invention for obtaining legal protection in accordance with international standards are specified. The list of laws, regarding copyright issues is shown. The attention is emphasized on the necessity of conformity of the system of protection for objects of intellectual property to domestic needs and international priorities for economic and social development of the state. It is noted that the accumulation of intellectual potential in general, and increasing the numbers of inventions, is considered as the basis for successful business development in the country, which will increase the value of companies, improve their business performance and successful implementation of business projects. Patent as a mean of inventions protection in Ukraine is considered, the benefits of the patent to avoid the possibility of competition at the market are described. Disadvantages, existing in the system of legal maintenance of intellectual property and leading to stoppage of researches in some areas of the national economy are mentioned. A workingout of well-functioning legal framework for intellectual property rights protection through the development and adoption of the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Some Laws of Ukraine on Intellectual Property," which would ensure the protection of rights and interests of Ukrainian inventors is suggested.
