Plagiarism policy

The journal «Reporter of the Priazovskyi State Technical  University. Section: Economic Sciences» upholds strict standards of academic integrity and implements a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. We only accept original works that have not been previously published.

Screening and Evaluation Procedure
All submitted manuscripts undergo mandatory screening for textual similarities using specialized software (StrikePlagiarism, Plag).

Expert Analysis: The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript is not based on an automated similarity percentage but on a substantive analysis of the matches conducted by an editor or reviewer.

Classification of Similarities: The Editorial Board distinguishes between properly formatted citations, common technical terminology, descriptions of standard methodologies, and the actual misappropriation of others' results.

Screening Outcomes: If the detected similarities are minor (improperly formatted references, excessive quotation), the paper is returned to the authors for revision. If significant plagiarism is detected, including the misappropriation of ideas or results without attribution, the manuscript is rejected without the right to resubmit (Desk Reject).

Actions in Case of Plagiarism
The Editorial Board acts in accordance with COPE Flowcharts regarding plagiarism cases.

Pre-publication: If plagiarism is confirmed, authors receive a formal rejection. The Board reserves the right to notify the author’s institution of the incident.

Post-publication: If plagiarism is discovered in a published article, the Board conducts an investigation. This may result in a formal Correction or a full Retraction of the article, with a public notice issued on the journal’s website and in bibliographic databases.

In instances of confirmed significant misappropriation without proper attribution, the Board reserves the right to take action as outlined in the COPE Core Practices.

Self-plagiarism and Excessive Self-citation
We define self-plagiarism as the reuse of significant portions of one’s previously published work without valid scientific justification, which misleads readers regarding the novelty of the research. Authors may only cite limited fragments of their own work, provided that the original source is explicitly cited.

Guidelines for Authors
To ensure the originality of the text, authors are recommended to:

Minimize direct quotations, preferring critical analysis and paraphrasing with proper attribution.

Use quotation marks for verbatim statements and format references according to the journal's style.

Obtain written permission to use copyrighted illustrations, tables, or charts from other publications.
