Abstract

The article makes an attempt to reveal the modern world trends occurring in the global economic environment. It is proved that the trends of modern development of the Ukrainian economy are the rapid growth of business activity of small and medium-sized businesses. In conditions that nowadays in Ukraine small and medium business can become the main element that can lead Ukraine's economy out of crisis and ensure further rapid growth. It is concluded that Ukraine is on the sidelines of the development of the digital global economy, taking the place of an outsider. It is determined that the development of modern entreprise in Ukraine is first of all the development of small business, because it has significant advantages over big business.  Small business is characterized by management methods - simplicity, flexibility in decision-making, lack of bureaucracy, in some cases, combining management and ownership functions. A very important role is played by the human factor. The implementation of technical and business ideas, the common cause, the profit motive attract people, allowing to achieve high performance indicators.
