Complaints and Appeals Policy
Ars Linguodidacticae provides a mechanism for submitting complaints and appeals concerning editorial decisions and follows the recommendations of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), ensuring fairness, transparency, and impartiality.
Grounds for Appeal
Complaints and appeals may concern:
- rejection of a manuscript;
- peer review and editorial procedures;
- matters related to publication ethics.
Appeals must include a reasoned statement and, where applicable, a response to reviewers’ comments.
Review Procedure
Complaints are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and/or the responsible editor. Members of the editorial board may be consulted where appropriate.
If the complaint concerns editorial conduct, the case may be referred to the appropriate university authority.
The process ensures:
- equal consideration of all parties;
- the opportunity to present relevant arguments;
- objective and unbiased evaluation.
Decision
Following review, the journal may:
- uphold the original decision;
- revise the editorial decision;
- initiate an additional review.
The complainant will be informed of the outcome with appropriate justification.
Decisions made after appeal review are considered final.
