The purpose of the article is to highlight the socio-communication technology impact on library and information activities, their features, and goals of implementation to improve the quality of library and information services provision, to ensure an integrated, multi-faceted approach to solving the problems facing libraries in the context of transformation. The research methodology is based on a set of general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, generalization, and systematization. The scientific novelty of work lies in the disclosure of possibilities of information and communication technologies that provide an integrated unity - resources, products, and services to meet the needs of users through an increase in the
share of information and analytical services. For the first time, such important information and analytical products as an electronic scientific agricultural library, databases on topical issues, incl. international electronic resources were considered. Conclusions. Social and communication technologies contribute to the formation of the new model of the library's activities as an information intermediary between users and endless arrays of industry information, able to create and develop an environment for providing services through quality information support. Thanks to the modern capabilities of information and communication services introduced in the National Scientific Agricultural Library NAAS, there is a transformation into an integrated unity - of resources and products, which in turn contribute to a wider service coverage in serving the user audience. The library as a component of the system of social communications has the opportunity not only to present resources in its profile but also to cooperate with other leading libraries in Ukraine and
Europe on the formation of collections of web resources on specific topics. New web services create favorable conditions for increasing library communication and a qualitatively new level of interaction with society.
