Prospects of innovative changes in library activity: views of domestic scientists

The purpose of the article is to explain the interpretation of the concepts: «innovation», «library innovation», and «innovation» in the context of the study of domestic library professionals. Analyze the theoretical and methodological principles for the introduction of web technology in library practice for effective remote information service users. The research methodology consists is based on the use of general scientific approaches: socio-cultural, socio-communicative, systemic, as well as the use of general scientific methods (analysis, synthesis, generalization). Scientific novelty of the work lies in the in-depth analysis and comprehensive approach to studying the issue of quality satisfaction of the library user through the prism of the introduction of innovative forms and methods in library activities. Conclusions. From the conducted research we can state that domestic experts consider modern concepts of activity of leading libraries on questions of information service of users. In particular, they offer ways to implement innovative forms and methods, directions and ways of implementing innovative activities of social and communication institutions in accordance with the information and technological challenges posed by society in the XXI century. Thus, affirmatively positioning the prospects and achievements in the development and implementation in the library practice of Internet services by all possible innovative means. We will try to note that in the library information environment of customer service, traditional forms of work are preserved, which remains relevant and meets the needs of the information society as a whole. But this does not mean that information services should not be constantly in the dynamics, improve, and thus be competitive in the market. Therefore, the forms and methods of remote (information) service of network and local resources are becoming one of the leading activities of modern public library.
