The purpose of the article is to summarize Ukrainian and foreign experience in implementing innovative services in library service for users, as well as to determine the prospects for their application in the activities of public libraries in the Lviv region in the context of the digital transformation of society. The research methodology is based on general scientific methods that provide an analysis of the digitalization of library services and the introduction of innovations. Methods of comparison, generalization and comparison of Ukrainian and foreign experience, as well as systemic and structural-functional approaches to consider the library as a holistic system were used. The scientific novelty lies in the justification and testing of a comprehensive approach to the implementation of innovative services in public libraries. The feasibility of integrating SMS-service, mobile learning, mobile applications, navigation solutions and QR-codes has been proven. Practical recommendations have been proposed to improve the efficiency of service and development of libraries in the Lviv region in the modern information space. Conclusions. The digitalization of society leads to the transformation of libraries and the introduction of innovative services. The use of artificial intelligence, VR/AR technologies and digital tools increases the quality and personalization of service. Ukrainian and global experience confirms the effectiveness of mobile applications, Whiteboard and Padlet.. The further development of libraries is associated with the comprehensive implementation of digital technologies, the activation of innovative activities and adaptation to the dynamic needs of society. At the same time, important conditions for effective transformation are the improvement of digital competencies of library workers and strategic planning of service development. This will allow libraries to establish themselves as modern information and communication centers capable of providing high-quality, accessible and inclusive services in the digital age.
