Information on article processing and publication fees

The article processing charge is a fee that authors pay to the journal to cover the costs of manuscript processing, peer review, and publication, including printing, registration in databases, storage of content in open access, distribution of mandatory copies to libraries in Ukraine, and the assignment of an international digital identifier (DOI).

For publishing an article in the scientific journal “Library Science. Record Studies. Informology”, the author pays UAH 500. A printed copy is included in this fee.

Scientific, scientific-pedagogical, and pedagogical staff, as well as doctoral students of the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management, receive a 50% discount on the publication fee (i.e., they pay UAH 250).

According to the Order on Payment for Publications in the Scientific Professional Journals of the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management dated 04.03.2026, No. 20-0 , the following are exempt from any payment (fees) for an article:

  • Third-level higher education students in the state-funded program (regardless of the higher education institution) who have authored the article individually (without co-authors);
  • Members of the journal’s editorial board.

Important! Payment is accepted only after the article has successfully passed peer review and has been accepted for publication in the journal. The journal editorial office notifies the author via email, providing payment details for the article publication. A scanned copy or electronic version of the payment document must be sent to the journal's editorial email address.
