Abstract

The purpose of the article is to shed light on the state of the scientific study of the process of the development of enamel art in the context of art. Methodology. In accordance with this goal, a set of research methods of contemporary art criticism based on an anthropic approach to the analysis of artistic phenomena, as well as methods of heuristic and hermeneutic cognition combined with the use of historical-chronological, systemic methods, were selected. The use of these methods of research contributed to obtaining their own results. An analysis of historiography has shown that there is a scientific discourse on the place and role of the enamel art in artistic creation that emerged in the early 21st century. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is the formulation and development of a topical, little-researched theme of the genesis and evolution of Ukrainian enamel art. The results of the study of the essence of enamel art can be an important component in the study of contemporary art and the development of art science. Conclusions. It is concluded that enamel art in Ukraine has acquired the value of an artistic phenomenon that has its history, theoretical basis, definite periodization, technical and technological basis. The historiographical study of the artistic discourse of enamel art has shown that there is a sufficient amount of scientific literature on the history of enamel art, and the genesis and development of hot enamel technique in different periods of historical development is considered and characterized. Based on the anthropic principle, the refinement of established scientific views on the historical progress of enamel. In the theory of art, there is an attempt of scientists to establish the place and role of the easel and monumental enamel art in the structure of art. On the basis of the art discourse developed in Ukrainian science, the author concludes that enamel art has acquired genre characteristics of a particular type of art and has a syncretic character.
