Article Submission:
Authors submit their work to a scientific journal.
Compliance Check with Journal Requirements:
The journal's editorial team checks if the article meets the formal requirements (format, length, structure). At this stage, the article may be rejected without review if it does not meet the journal's requirements.
Initial Assessment by the Editor:
The deputy editor or editorial board assesses the overall quality and relevance of the article. If the article fits the topic and quality level, it is sent for review.
Selection of Reviewers:
The deputy editor selects independent experts in the relevant field to review the article. Usually, 1-2 reviewers are chosen.
Reviewing:
Reviewers evaluate the article based on several criteria: novelty, significance, methodology, results, conclusions, and relevance to the literature. They write detailed reports and recommend one of the following options: accept, accept with minor changes, revise after major changes, or reject.
Review and Editorial Decision:
The editor analyzes the reviews and makes a decision. The decisions can be the following:
Accept without changes.
Accept with minor changes.
Ask the author to make significant changes and submit the article again (reviewers may check the article again after changes).
Reject.
Author Notification:
Authors receive the editorial decision along with the reviewers’ comments. If changes are needed, authors must make them and submit a revised version.
Reviewing the Revised Version (if necessary):
If significant changes were requested, the revised article may be sent back to the reviewers for re-evaluation.
Acceptance and Publication:
If the article is accepted, it is edited, typeset, and prepared for publication. Authors may receive proofs for checking before final publication.
Post-publication Review (sometimes):
In some cases, after the article is published, other scientists may provide their comments and criticism, which may lead to discussions or further research.
This process ensures a high level of quality of scientific publications and upholds the standards of scientific ethics and reliability.

Reviewers are informed that the manuscripts they receive are the intellectual property of the author.
