T. Logutova, M. Poltoratskiy. Analysis of the activities of Ukrainian seaports: prospects for development.

Abstract

The article analyzes the modern legal basis of the functioning of the maritime industry of Ukraine, identifies the key categorical apparatus of the maritime industry (administration of seaports, seaport water area, port infrastructure facilities, stevedoring company); the general structure of subordination of branches in the State Enterprise "AMPU" is formed and graphically represented; the activity of Ukrainian port-leaders for cargo handling was investigated; An analysis of the total volumes of handling of stevedoring companies' goods in seaports in 2015 - 9 months 2017 by key groups (bulk, bulk dry cargo, tare-piece) and the rates of growth of volumes of cargo processing are calculated; analyzed and identified key issues in the maritime industry related to the cargo base, lack of regional support in the development of seaports, lack of clear tools for influencing institutional changes in ports; the key strategic projects for improvement of the infrastructure in seaports have been explored and allocated in accordance with seaport development plans (dredging projects, berth construction, construction of a terminal for transshipment of agricultural products, formation of the information system of the Marine Single Window); analyzed and highlighted the key public events of the development of the marine industry of Ukraine at the national and world level.
