The aim of the research is to analyze theoretical inheritance by Mykola Rerih in the context of the philosophy of the cosmism. Methodology of the research is based on the usage of historical and cultural, systematic, theoretical and generalizing methods. We don’t have a thorough analysis of the “Living Ethics” by Mykola Rerih as a self-worth work, its place and value in the context of the theory of cosmism up today and all original inheritance of the researcher determined the topicality of the research. Conclusions. Though creative heritage by Mykola Rerih is viewed in the context of the philosophy of the cosmism, the problematics of the “Living Ethics” was the object of the scientific research, namely its cultural principals were not practically undergone consideration. Even the work itself hasn’t undergone thorough consideration. There could only be mentioned fugitive views onto the problematics of the “Living Ethics” while mentioning or studying related questions. At the same time the analysis of the history and theory of the culture of the XXth century makes it possible to claim that Mykola Rerih’s figure takes a special place in the logics of the formation of the humanistic ideas in tragic conditions of the XXth century. Theoretical and creative inheritance by M. Rerih has its creative and searching character, in many aspects basing namely onto it, the art of the XXth century started “the topic of cosmism” having presented the examples of a highly artistic works in many arts. Rerih’s inheritance is very interesting also because it’s organically related with traditions of Ukrainian world relations. All this makes the research of the “Living Ethics” very perspective and rational by a modern scientific community to our mind.
