The purpose of the article is to study the change of ideological paradigm, which influenced the transformation of the axiosphere of the Early Modern. It is equally important to define the utopian project as an essential cultural practice, which was formed in the Early Modern culture and significantly influenced the transformation of the axisosphere of European culture of the Modern era. The methodology is based on the dialectical interconnection of such research methods as the axiological, for the thorough analysis of the axiosphere of the Early Modern ideological culture, and the historical one, which provided an opportunity to analyze Utopia retrospectively as a cultural practice of the Modern era. The scientific novelty of the paper is to identify the relationship among the transformational processes in the values of the Early Modern, which formed the axiosphere of the Modern era, and such a cultural practice as utopia. Conclusions. It is proved in the article that the Early Modern ideological paradigm shift radically changed the axiosphere of the European Modern culture, based on rationalism, scientific knowledge, understanding of the future due to the ability to project this future. Therefore one of the dominant cultural practices of that period isutopia.
