The scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the first time the issue of civil society institutions is considered in terms of their culturally creative potential and axiological intentions, and their main development trends at the current stage are outlined. Conclusions. Institutions of civil society contribute to the construction of a fairer, more democratic and inclusive society through their value orientation. They support the development of civic consciousness, contribute to the preservation of cultural diversity and work to solve social problems. Due to their active position and activities, civil society institutions have an influence on the formation of public opinion on cultural issues and can be important participants in the process of cultural policy development, often acting as independent experts and lobbyists for the interests of cultural communities. The cultural potential of civil society institutions is multifaceted and important for the sustainable development of society. Thanks to their activities, civil society institutions not only preserve and popularize cultural heritage, but also contribute to the development of new cultural forms, support of cultural diversity and protection of cultural rights. Thus, the axiological aspect of the activity of civil society institutions is key to understanding their impact on society and significance in the modern world.
