Ways to Create a Scientific School of Theoretical and Practical Cultural Studies at the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management

The purpose of this article is to reconstruct the process of formation of the scientific school of theoretical and practical cultural studies at the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management (NAKKKIM) through the prism of educational, research, scientific and practical components. The methodology of the study is to use a systematic approach to comprehensively cover the process of formation of the scientific school of Cultural Studies of the NAKKKIM; historical – to study the processes of formation and development of the scientific school of cultural studies in the context of general institutional and educational processes; source study – to find, study and analyse documentary sources that demonstrate the ways and stages of formation of the scientific schools of the NAKKKIM; hermeneutic – to interpret and reveal the content of the scientific work of scientists; theoretical generalisation – to summarise the results of the study. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that, for the first time, the process of formation and development of the scientific school of theoretical and practical cultural studies of the NAKKKIM is highlighted, the scientific achievements of the academicians whose efforts were aimed at the development of the speciality of ‘Cultural Studies’ are summarised, and the concept of the ‘scientific school of Cultural Studies’ is clarified. Conclusions. The analysis of the activities of the scientific and creative team of scientists of the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management for the period 2014–2024 on the development of the speciality ‘Cultural Studies’ has proved that the implementation of educational, research and scientific and practical activities has allowed the formation of a scientific school of theoretical and practical Cultural Studies of the NAKKKIM, which has made a significant contribution to the development of national cultural thought by developing the terminological apparatus of theoretical Cultural Studies and solving topical problems of practical Cultural Studies.
