Abstract

The purpose of this article is to review the current paradigm of information services in Ukrainian libraries, which is based on the use of intelligent data analysis systems, scientometric tools, and support for the full cycle of scientific research – from planning to the dissemination of results in open access. The research methodology is based on an analysis of publications from the last decade covering transformational processes in the library sector, as well as on a study of reports by international organisations (in particular, Pulse of the Library 2025) on the implementation of artificial intelligence. The paper examines the tools of leading scientometric platforms and specialised software for visualising the structure of scientific knowledge. It also analyses methodological approaches to information literacy based on the ACRL Framework. The scientific novelty lies in rethinking the role of libraries in Ukraine as active intellectual partners, rather than simply intermediaries in accessing information. The paper identifies and classifies applied areas of artificial intelligence use in library services for automated knowledge synthesis and academic integrity verification. The strategic role of the information consultant concept in the implementation of open science principles and the introduction of FAIR standards for research data management is considered. Conclusion. Information services in libraries are undergoing a fundamental transformation, with institutions becoming analytical hubs. For successful development, it is recommended to invest in AI literacy of staff, develop an open science ecosystem through institutional repositories, and integrate advanced data visualisation tools into everyday practice. The future of libraries depends on the effective combination of human expertise with the power of artificial intelligence.
