Olena Hryhorevska as an Example of Professional Development in the System of Modern Education and Science

The purpose of the article is to highlight the specific features of the contemporary period of O. V. Hryhorevska’s professional activity, to emphasize her role and significance in the system of library education and science, as well as in the development of the Department of Information Communications at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University. Research methodology. The methodological basis of the study includes general scientific methods of analysis, generalization, and description, which made it possible to reveal the peculiarities of the contemporary stage of the professional activity of the well-known Ukrainian scholar O. V. Hryhorevska. The study applies an analytical approach to understanding her scientific, pedagogical, organizational, and educational activities over the past decade. The generalization of the obtained results made it possible to demonstrate the significance of O. V. Hryhorevska’s scientific and professional activity within the system of modern education and science. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the comprehensive coverage of the contemporary period of O. V. Hryhorevska’s professional activity, particularly her role in the development of the Department of Information Communications at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University. The paper is the first to analyze the scholar’s contribution to the development of the educational and professional program “Information, Library and Archival Studies” and to ensuring the quality of library education in accordance with contemporary scientific approaches. Conclusions. O. V. Hryhorevska belongs to the cohort of scholars who can rightfully be regarded as professors of the European level. The breadth of her scientific thinking, proficiency in foreign languages, erudition, and ability to navigate thoroughly in numerous scientific and professional issues shape her unique intellectual profile. The professor’s activity contributes to the establishment of high standards within the contemporary professional environment of Ukraine.
