The effect of accelerated aging and freezing at the temperature of -20oC of seed of a number of pea varieties on the level of catalase activity in seedlings and seeds was investigated. Accelerated aging caused a decrease, but freezing caused an increase in germination energy and germination as compared with the control variant of the majority of the studied varieties.
