The paper presents the results on the development and optimization of modern breeding methods and the study of grapes belonging to a new generation with the application of modern techniques (tissue culture in vitro, DNA – analysis) and improved classical methods. The possibility to obtain full-valued grape plants from immature seeds permitting to select early-matured large-sized genotypes of grapes has been proved. For the purpose of acceleration of breeding process and the study of adaptive prop-erties of new genotypes of grapes the investigation on salt-tolerance and drought-resistance under the controlled conditions of tissue culture in vitro is carried out.
