Abstract

For seed filling dynamics 3 types of pea varieties reaction to the changes of weather conditions are defined: the first type – the greatest increase in the weight takes place with a simultaneous seed formation – 71.5-73.9% independently of weather conditions of the year; the second type – it is the increase of seed weight at the level of the first type – 72.9-79.0% at the phase of the formation but depending on the year weather conditions seed filling dynamics may be changed; the third – seed filling process is prolonged during the seed formation stage – 59.2-70.6%, at early-milk stage – 24.1-35.3%.

It is established that the varieties of the 1st and 2nd types are resistant to dry conditions, the 3rd type is more adaptable to a moderate water availability that is of great practical importance at choosing a variety for a particular soil-climatic zone
