The effectiveness of the use of testing at the study of histology, cytology and embryology

Testing is actively used for controlling the level of mastering of pedagogical knowledge at the study of medicine that conditions the topicality of the study of its effectiveness at learning theoretical disciplines of medical direction, for example, “Histology, cytology and embryology”.
Aim of research – is to consider the features of testing, to determine the expedience and effectiveness of its use as a method of controlling knowledge and skills of students of the medical faculty of SHEI “Ivano-Frankivsk national medical university” at the study of normative academic discipline “Histology, cytology and embryology” at profile department.
Tasks of research: to discover the essence of testing, to analyze the main functions of testing; to ground the topicality of the use of testing control as a method of control of knowledge and skills of students at studying at the department of histology, cytology and embryology.
Results of research. The question of the use of testing that is the result of centuries-old development of forms and methods of pedagogical control was considered. The topicality and expedience of the use of testing control was grounded that allowed objectively assess and qualitatively measure the level of students’ readiness. The theoretical analysis of the main functions of testing was carried out and the effectiveness of its use in educational process of theoretical departments of higher medical educational institutions was proved on the example of department of “Histology, cytology and embryology” of Ivano-Frankivsk national medical university
