Тhe characteristics characteristics of distance education, particularly in the pharmaceutical university were investiganed in this article, were investigated, in this article. The trends on implementation on implementation of current current information technologies into learning process were technologies into learning process were examined examined.
Methods. During research applied empirical methods (observation, information retrieval on the subject of modern computer technology and the development of distance education (DE) by comparison, identifying the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning relatively traditional learning facilities; experimental methods (experiment, simulation, logic synthesis, including hypothetical forecasting); analytical techniques (learning and generalization, formalization) by which logical analysis was conducted and studied systematization of information identified causal relationships on issues of DE.
Results. Defined the advantages and disadvantages, and especially the development of the course on the subject "Proper practice of pharmacy" for distance learning systems, the prospects of implementation of distance learning in the pharmaceutical universities to train for pharmacists.
Conclusions. Defined the concept of distance education for pharmacists, types and organizational forms of distance learning, the negative aspects and advantages prospects of development of distance learning.
