SOCIO-CULTURAL PHENOMENON OF ESPERANTO MOVEMENT: TO THE HISTORY OF THE ISSUE

The article deals with the socio-cultural phenomenon of Esperanto movement presents its development in historical and international contexts. Due to the fact that interculturalism and multiculturalism are becoming more and more relevant in the world, there is a need for the development of an international language for communication. Esperanto is the most widespread planned artificially created international language, which does not claim to replace ethnic languages, but seeks to become an aid in the international communication of multilingual people. In order to establish international relations, study the culture of other nationalities, their languages, there is a need for learning Esperanto. Therefore, both in the world and in the domestic contexts, the formation and development of a certain socio-cultural phenomenon takes place. This is confirmed by a number of facts and events that have taken place. In Ukraine the spread of Esperanto movement is promoted by the Ukrainian Esperanto Association and the Vasyl Eroshenko Charitable Foundation “Espero”.References
