TOLERANCE AS A PERSONAL CHARACTERISTIC IN THE CONDITIONS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

The paper is dedicated to the substantive analysis of the concept of «tolerance» in the context of implementation inclusive education.The scientific literature on the research problem is analyzed. The essential characteristic of tolerance as a personality trait is revealed. The definition of tolerance is an active position of the individual, which is formed on the basis of recognition of universal rights and fundamental human freedoms. Tolerance is the realized readiness for conscious personal actions aimed at achieving humanistic relations between people and groups of people with different worldviews, different values, values, and stereotypes of behavior. The difference between the concepts of «tolerance», «patience», «non-intervention» is substantiated. The levels of tolerance are distinguished: civilization (tolerance to different cultures and civilizations); international (cooperation, peaceful coexistence of states); ethnic (tolerance of another lifestyle, other people's customs, traditions, thoughts, ideas, etc.); social (partnership between different social groups of society); individual (tolerance to another person). Practical-oriented directions of formation of personality tolerance are outlined: dialogue of decisions; dialogue of cultures; peaceful coexistence of states; development of human contacts; forming of a tolerance mentality. Various aspects of understanding tolerance are characterized: social, evolutionary-biological, ethical, political, psychological-pedagogical. The perspective directions of the study of the problem of tolerance are outlined: development of content of training of future specialists of social sphere, clarification of principles of tolerant education of the young generation, unification of approaches to understanding of the tolerant personality, adaptation of the modern social education system to the requirements of inclusive education.References
