Abstract

This article describes and analyzes the creative achievements of prominent choreographers Mary Lyashkevych andTheodore Danylyak. Determined their impact on the choreographic culture in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Choreographer staging wasperformed based on Carpathian folk dances and made a great contribution to the development of Ukrainian dance in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Their choreographic composition today is a model for leaders and teachers of dance groups Ukrainian dance The second half of the twentieth century for the development of Ukrainian folk dance is marked by a high levelof performance skills of new models of stage folk dance in the Carpathian region.

A significant impact on the national stage dance in the Carpathian region late twentieth century XXI century ismade by Mary Lyashkevych . Almost all the leaders of choreographic collectives Ivano-Frankivsk region are students ofthis famous and talented woman.

Maria Lyashkevych ( Kupriyanov ) was born February 8, 1948 in Kolomyja Ivano -Frankivsk region. Her motherwas from Kyiv , the father from Yaroslavl. It was an intelligent and hard-working family that instilled Mary since childhoodlove of art. In 1947, fate brought the parents in Western Ukraine – in Coloma . Events in Ukraine in 1946-1947 yearsinfluenced the future life of the family Kupriyanov. Since ten years Lyashkevych Maria has been oing in forchoreography. Hard work and tireless art of dance gave some results. Kolomyyskoy finished the 8th graded school sheentered the school of cultural Snyatyn (today Kalush College of Culture and Arts of Ivano-Frankivsk region).

Later shecontinued her studying at Kharkiv State Institute of Culture and '40 gave teaching. Over the years there were manyproductions and performances on the stages of the Ivano-Frankivsk region and other regions of Ukraine , annual reportson the stages of Kyiv, touring abroad. Maria Lyashkevych was a head of the Folk ensemble dance "Merejivo" KalushCollege of Culture and Arts, teacher of thirty- eight-year experience of work in the institution. Every year its professionalskills were growing from simple to the head teacher of dance disciplines Commission . In May 2009, Maria Lyashkevychwas awarded the honorary title "Deserved Worker of Ukraine ", and in 2010, her life cut short serious illness.

All her life was devoted to preservation of folk dance. Her trips to different parts of the Carpathian inspired to тcreate interesting choreographies that have always succeeded in many domestic and foreign scenes. All the nowledgeMaria Lyashkevych transferred into her disciples taught of the technique of building choreographies, embodied theirideas in class on choreography , was a true teacher.

An important contribution to the development of choreographic art Carpathian was made by Fedir Danylyak. The talented choreographer successfully implemented its creativity and implemented new ideas in dance performances.His ability to choreography had been appearing since his childhood, but he professionally studied the art of dance inKalush school culture in 1972 – 1976 years ( today Kalush College of Culture and Arts). In the formation of the youngstudent as a professional musician in the future renowned choreographer, teacher the great role was played by MariaLyashkevych.

In the period of independence of Ukraine in the curricula of all college culture introduced discipline "UkrainianDance". It gave impetus to the development of Ukrainian folk choreography Region, as the folklore materials were used alot and it is only in dance bands.

That Fedor Danylyak started fruitful work on the subject " Ukrainian Dance", focusing on the study of danceethnic groups Carpathians, which included a separate section later in the curriculum subjects. So repertoire of folk danceensemble "Merejivo ", of which he was director , added interesting choreographic compositions "Carpathian festive","Boikivskyi dance", "Lyubaska" choreographic suite "Wreath unity" etc.

Choreographic composition "Lyubaska " was staged in 1989. It was a fruitful research work of Boykochoreographer to create a dance. Selection of folklore material and abilities was made by Fyodor Danylyak. He helpedcreate a national stage dance preserving fundamental principle – authenticity.

Fedir Danylyak was invited as a choreographer in the Dance Academy "Arkan" in the City of Toronto (Canada).Fascinated by the art of Ukrainian dance he created many interesting choreographies. The crucial fact was that his artwas appreciated. In 1997 he headed the School of Ukrainian Dance "Barvinok" at the Church of the Assumption of theBlessed Virgin Mary in Mississaha ( Ontario, Canada ).

School of Ukrainian Dance "Periwinkle " was created in 1969 . His work began in the basement of the UkrainianCatholic Church of St. Mary in Mississaha. Every year the number of participants increased with growing of professionalskills dancers. For 20 years Fedir Danylyak made more than 200 productions.He is not only the choreographer and Artistic director, but also innovator and teacher. He has now almost 40years experience in all aspects of the dancing field. Over the past 40 years, Fedir Danylak has taught at various danceschools throughout Ukraine, the United States of America and Canada.Fedir Danylak has received many awards from the Ministry of Culture in Ukraine, for teaching, training of FolkDance Directors, and choreography. He has a diploma in Choreography from the Kyiv State Institute of Culture, Kyiv,Ukraine, and advanced courses in dance and choreography from the Kyiv State Institute of Culture and Institute ofAdvanced Training.

He brings with him a true passion for dance that radiates to his students. The eager dancers under FedirDanylak's guidance soon develop pride in their heritage that will be displayed in their performances.The successful combination of folk paraphernalia, interesting stories dances, music and costumes complementthe material choreographic compositions of artists, which makes them unique, and highlights choreographic culture ofCarpathian are shown.
