The purpose of the article. The research is connected with the justification of the contribution to the formation of the choral culture of the modern age of the famous Ukrainian choirmaster Liubomyr Bodnaruk, which was revealed in the creation and activity of the first professional chamber choir named after D. Bortniansky from the Chernihiv Philharmonic Center of Festivals and Concert Programs. The methodology of the research is to apply the historical-epistemological and problem-chronological scientific approaches, which allows to carry out the schedule and generalization of the historical basis for the development of choral activity in Chernihiv region, which formed the latest vision of choral art by Liubomyr Bodnaruk. The scientific novelty and significance of the results of the research carried out is that for the first time the analysis of the performance repertoire of a professional artistic group covering various styles and genres of musical art represents the composer's work of Ukraine, which creates additional conditions for extrapolation of artistic achievements of a professional choral collective into a multisectoral musical – execution activities and in the field of training of professional conducting staff. Conclusions. For the first time, the choral creativity of Chernihiv region is considered in the interrelationship between cultural and continental musicology (cognitive) factors that form the integrity of the choral culture of Chernihiv region from its origins to our time. It is essential that the reflection of musical and performing activities in the field of choral art is mediated by the assessment of the artist's creativity, which creates real artistic values that have an aesthetic result.
