Aims and Scope

Purpose of the journal

Providing scientific support for the development of martial arts, improving the training and educational process using martial arts by publishing the results of fundamental and applied research. We strive to consolidate the efforts of scientists, trainers and teachers in order to improve the system of training athletes, increase the level of physical activity of different segments of the population and popularize a healthy lifestyle. The publication is a platform for testing the results of dissertations for the degrees of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Science.
 

Fields of knowledge and specialties (according to the state classifier):

  • A Education  (specialty A7 Physical Education and Sports ) — theory and methodology of professional education of coaches, innovative pedagogical technologies in martial arts.
Main thematic areas:
The editorial board accepts original articles covering the following issues:
  1. Theory and training methods: optimization of the training process in martial arts.
  2. Medical and biological aspects: control of functional state, recovery and adaptation of athletes' bodies to loads in martial arts.
  3. Sports psychology: development of cognitive skills, psychological preparation for extreme conditions of a match, stress resistance, management of pre-start states.
  4. Training in the security and defense sector: improving the content of military-applied, special training of cadets and military personnel using martial arts techniques.
  5. Organizational, managerial and historical principles: history of the development of martial arts in Ukraine and the world, management and marketing of sports clubs and martial arts federations. 
 

Main tasks

Approbation of scientific results. Providing a high-quality platform for publishing the results of dissertation research for the degrees of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Science in specialty A7 "Physical Culture and Sports".

Interdisciplinary integration. Promoting the combination of efforts of scientists in the fields of physical education, sports, pedagogy, psychology, biomechanics, and management for a comprehensive solution to problems in martial arts.

Development of the theory and methodology of martial arts. Systematization of knowledge about modern training systems, tactical and technical innovations, and psychophysiological training of athletes in martial arts.

Scientific support of professional activities. Providing theoretical support to trainers through the publication of advanced methods based on evidence-based principles.

Promoting open science.  Providing free and immediate access to scientific content (Gold Open Access) for the scientific community and practitioners around the world.
