Abstract

For any distributor an important element of effective work is the minimization of the total cost for the delivery of goods to wholesale and retail stores. However, a large number of criteria, restrictions and lack of information leads to the fact that the existing mathematical models of choice of vehicles and routes for the delivery of goods from the distributor to wholesale and retail stores do not permit to make effective management decisions quickly and with the required accuracy. In the article the mathematical model of choice of vehicles and routes for the delivery of goods from the distributor to wholesale and retail stores was developed. It was shown that this model has permitted to select economically profitable vehicles for commercial organization with the general costs for the delivery of goods. It was proved that the application of this mathematical model creates the conditions for taking the effective management decision that will help reduce the total costs of commercial organization. In our case, the total costs for the delivery of goods from the distributor to wholesale and retail stores to all regions decreased by 48%
