The article considers a problem of designing of functional models of poorly structured systems using the methodology of structural analysis and planning. Applying the BPwin system the functional model of sugar production from sugar beets was designed, and its structural decomposition was made downright. The model is represented graphically as a hierarchy of diagrams; each of them describes a system or a separate subsystem with a given level of detailing and reflects the existing order of business processes and organization of work for the implementation of the technological cycle on a sugar factory. The main elements of the functional model are the blocks of activity, represented as rectangles with arrows showing involved technologies and resources to ensure the proper outcome of business process. The model allows understanding of the enterprise operation from the point of view of systems analysis, and identifying the drawbacks and formulating the suggestions as to the improvement of business processes of an enterprise
