Префронтальні відділи кори головного мозку: історія новітніх досліджень

Стаття присвячена розвитку неврології та нейропсихології у ХХ –
на початку ХХІ століття. Особлива увага приділяється становленню
теорій, що пояснюють виняткове значення префронтальної кори у за-
безпеченні функцій управління та контролю поведінки. Клінічні до-
слідження наслідків її уражень, як ендогенної, так і екзогенної при-
роди, дозволили сформулювати уявлення про специфічний «лобний
синдром», однак справжнє наближення до розкриття таємниць пре-
фронтальної кори стало можливим наприкінці ХХ ст. під час «декади
мозку», коли введення у практику методів нейровізуалізації сприяло
появі нових оригінальних евристичних рішень «старих» проблем.
