PECULIARITIES OF THE ORGANIZATION OF VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES AS A MECHANISM FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SWEDISH SOCIAL POLICY IN THE CONTEXT OF MIGRANT PROTECTION

The article highlights the features of organizing volunteer activity as a mechanism for implementing Sweden's social policy in the context of protecting migrants' rights. It is established that volunteering in Sweden has a long tradition. However, formal registration of charitable initiatives in the country was initiated in 1903 by the creation of the National Association for Social Work. Today, there is no specific legislation in Sweden regulating the activities of charitable (volunteer) organizations; there is no official legal definition of the terms “volunteerism” and “charity (volunteer) organization”; the civil and legal status of charitable volunteer organizations and volunteers is largely dependent on current practice. It has been found that there are special financial funds in Sweden to support the development of this sector. The main body responsible for developing volunteer infrastructure is the Ministry of Health and Welfare. A Volunteer Agency has been set up in the country to mediate between volunteers, organizations and problem populations in need. It has been researched that the Red Cross and Caritas are the main service providers in the context of the protection of migrants' rights.References
