The main tendency of foundry in the modern world is the creation and implementation of advanced technological processes, which provide the production of castings of high quality with less material and energy costs.
In recent years Japan, Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Russia, and other countries have shown the principle possibility of production of castings in low-temperature sand molds. This process permits not to use the harmful binders, replacing them with the process of freezing of moisture of formation mixture. At the same time, there is an opportunity to improve the physical and mechanical, and consumer properties of castings.
The study was carried out to eliminate the defects of burn-on, gas porosity, as well as to improve the surface quality of castings made of aluminum alloys, produced by casting in frozen molds at low pressure. The article presents the results of studies of the structure of antiburning-on coatings on the surface quality. According to the results of the study, we have analyzed the impact of antiburning-on coatings on the surface quality of castingsReferences
