The investigation of selective signals properties approximated by cubic spline and cubic B-spline with the help of the criteria – value dependence of eye-pattern aperture and energy distribution in signal is defined. The meanings of signal parameters whereby the use of B-spline is preferable are shown. It will give the opportunity to increase the spectral effectiveness such or other splines
