RISK MANAGEMENT IN OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY PROJECTS AS A METHOD TO AVOID HARMFUL AND HAZARDOUS WORKING CONDITIONS

The current state of occupational safety is becoming more and more topical throughout the world. Presently, almost all countries in the world and international organizations regard the risk assessment and analysis as a primary mechanism for solving the problems of professional, industrial and environmental safety. The reason for the high level of occupational diseases and on-the-job injury rate are harmful and hazardous working conditions. As it is impossible to fully eliminate risks in the labor activity, it is essential to identify risk factors, making their level analysis and assessment. This article deals with the sequence of risk assessment process at work places, and quotes a formula to identify a possibility of occurrence of occupational injuries and diseases. This makes it possible to implement project measures aimed at decreasing the impact of adverse conditions upon the employees in the process of their labor activity.
