The article presents a method of correction of the systematic errors of estimation of the parameters of the atmosphere in vertical sounding radar systems. The systematic errors of measurement affect the accuracy of determining the parameters of the atmosphere, in particular wind speed. The use of more thorough methods of estimation of parameters of a signal, and the special procedures of systematic error correction, provide more accurate and operational estimates of the parameters of the environment. One of such correction procedures, based on polynomial regression, is discussed in this article. The main purpose is to study the possibilities of reduction of the systematic errors of estimation of the parameters of the scattered signal in the systems of signal processing of radars of vertical air sounding. In the study we used the method of simulation and the statistical analysis of the results. The research results can be used to design and modernize the systems of signal processing of radars of vertical air sounding. The application of the method of correction of the systematic errors together with the adaptive control of multiplicity of coherent accumulation of energy of the scattered signals permit to reduce significantly the error of estimation of wind speed.References
