Requirements for design and procedure for submitting a publication for publication

The editorial board accepts for consideration previously unpublished articles that meet the journal's profile. Manuscripts that violate these requirements will not be accepted for review.
 
We accept manuscripts in the following categories :
 
Original Research
These are full-fledged scientific works containing the results of completed experimental or theoretical research.
  • Content: Should include a clear structure (Abstract (in two languages), Introduction, Material and methods, Results and their discussion, Conclusions).
  • Length: 3000–6000 words.
Review Articles
Critical analysis of the current state of a specific problem in martial arts based on a review of a large amount of literature (mainly Scopus/WoS over the last 5–10 years).
  • Requirements: The author must not simply list sources, but identify trends, contradictions, and gaps in existing knowledge by using at least 30 sources in the reference list .
Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis
The highest level of scientific generalization, performed according to the strict PRISMA methodology .

 

Manuscript submission procedure

Submission of materials to the journal "Edynoborstva" is carried out exclusively in electronic form. The editorial office adheres to the principles of open science, therefore the submission process is integrated with international researcher identifiers.
 
Submission methods
Authors can submit their manuscript in one of two ways:
  • Through the online system:  using the " Submit an article " functionality based on the  OJS  (Open Journal Systems) platform on the journal's website.
  • By email: to the official editorial address natalya-meg@ukr.net .
 
When submitting, the author must provide:
  1. Article text:  file in  .docx or  format .doc, formatted in accordance with the Formatting Requirements.
  2. Author information: contact details and ORCID ID of each researcher.
 
Mandatory admission conditions
  • Originality:  The manuscript must not have been previously published or be under consideration in another publication.
  • ORCID:  Having an ORCID ID is mandatory for each author (registration at orcid.org).
 
Stages of consideration
  1. Pre-screening (up to 7 days):  Checking for compliance with the journal profile, technical design, and plagiarism.
  2. Review (4–8 weeks):  Sending the manuscript to two independent experts (Double-blind Peer Review).
  3. Decision making:  Based on the reviews, the editorial team makes a decision:  Accept / Revise / Reject .
  4. Prepress:  Literary editing, layout,  DOI assignment , and Online First publication.
Corrections Policy
Authors are required to make corrections in accordance with the reviewers' comments within  14 calendar days . If the comments are ignored without justification, the article is automatically rejected.
 

Technical parameters of the text

  • Article length:  from 8 to 15 pages (including tables, figures and a list of references).
  • Publication languages:  Ukrainian or English.
  • File format:  Microsoft Word ( .doc or  .docx).
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 point, line spacing — 1.0. Margins — 2 cm on all sides.

 

Article structure

The manuscript must contain the following mandatory elements:

  1. UDC  (in the upper left corner).
  2. Article title:  concise, without highly specialized abbreviations.
  3. Information about authors:  full name, academic degree, academic title, position, place of work (affiliation) with address,  ORCID ID  and email.
  4. Abstract:  1800–2500 characters. It should be structured as follows: Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
  5. Keywords: 5–8 words.

Main text

The article should have the following subheadings:

  • Introduction:  problem statement, analysis of recent research and publications.
  • The connection of research with scientific programs, plans and topics.
  • Research objective:  clear formulation of the goal.
  • Material and methods: description of the contingent (for example, qualification of the fighters, age, number), equipment and methods of mathematical statistics.
  • Results and their discussion:  presentation of the main material with illustrative support and  comparison of the obtained data with the results of other authors.
  • Conclusions:  research results and prospects for further developments.
  • Prospects for further research in this direction.

References

    • Number of sources: at least 15 (preferably 50% from the last 5 years).
    • Formatting style:  APA style (7th ed.).
    • Self-citation: no more than 10% of the total number of sources.
    • Each source must have  a DOI (if assigned).
  • Two lists of sources are attached to the article:  "Список літератури"  and  "References"  (according to the APA standard).
    1. References
    • Language:  Sources are cited in the original language (Cyrillic - in Cyrillic, Latin - in Latin).
    • Style:  Formatted according to APA standard.
    • Order:  Sources are arranged alphabetically.
    2. References
    This list is intended for indexing articles in international scientometric databases.
    • Language:  Latin only (English).
    • Style: Formatted according to APA (7th edition)  standards  .
    • Transliteration/translation rules for Cyrillic sources:
      1. Surnames and journal title:  Transliterated.
      2. Article title:  Translated into English.
      3. At the end of the source:  The original language must be indicated in parentheses —  [in Ukrainian].
Graphic material
  • Drawings and photos (stroke diagrams, graphs) must be clear (300 dpi) and submitted in .jpg or .tiff format.
  • Tables must be editable (created in MS Word, not images).
