Analysis of modern methods of reconstruction of industrial equipment

Metallurgical equipment operating under conditions of intense stresses breaks down much sooner and requires solutions to restore it. One of the most common causes of equipment failure is the failure of bearings. When the bearing collapses, the supporting surface in which it is installed is damaged, the dimensions of the seat change, an ellipse arises due to the wearing out and the contacting surface area of the bearing outer ring and the supporting surface decreases. The wear of the supporting surface under the bearing reduces the reliability of the operating equipment, therefore it is necessary to restore the supporting surface under the bearing. The article describes methods of equipment recovery, shows the main positive and negative aspects of various methods of equipment recovery, as well as the possibility of its application in metallurgical production. The work is aimed at finding new ways of repair that meet the new requirements for repairs in the metallurgical industry such as reducing repair time, reducing costs, the possibility of excluding the use of high-precision equipment. As the metallurgical equipment is of large dimensions, therefore, its dismantling and transportation to the repair areas is difficult. The paper suggests new methods for restoring equipment components using composite materials. This method will reduce the repair time of the equipment making it possible to exclude complete dismantling of the support parts and their machining. Various methods are described with the use of a polymeric material which will allow to use as little as possible material resources specifically for each case of restoration of the supporting surface under the bearing.
