The article deals with current problems of free time and leisure of Ukrainian youth in the new sociocultural reality through the prism of research, identified the reasons for changing values of young people for leisure, studies on the major social problems of the Ukrainian youth; analyzed socio cultural aspect of contemporary Ukrainian youth examined patterns of development cultural and recreational activities of Ukrainian youth.
