Abstract

The article demonstrates the сoherence of the ethnohistorical conception of "Narratives of Begone Years" ("Povesti vremennyh let") with the testimonies of byzantine imperor Constantine VII Porphyrogenitus about the Slaves in the treatise "De administrando imperio".
