This article deals with the music of two outstanding composers of XVII – beginning of XVIII century, which made an invaluable contribution to the Ukrainian musical culture. The author stresses that artists – S. Pekalitskij and N. Diletskij not only gave the artistic designs of professional music of that time in Ukraine, but also, as our time already shows, their music is played in Europe, and now compete out this music market. It is particularly important that the music by S. Pekalitskij was returned to a musical-cultural process.
