Abstract

English neologisms are described according to their function in society. Material research obtained by continuous sampling of the print media, which are the source of the names fixing new concepts. Mass media language is rich in prefix- and suffix- neologisms, compounding and acronyms, most of them having entered the every-day consumption and are not recorded in the dictionary of neologisms.
