Abstract

In the article the problem of the material and spiritual culture of the society is represented. The author shows it as a meaningful basis for the separation of the musical artistic system’s institutional layer. The institutional system of musical art is presented through the example of creativity as a sphere of musical production, institutions of performance, radio broadcasting, critics (T. Adorno). The author emphasizes the establishments and social institutions, instruments and devices that serve all activities in terms of creation, preservation, reproduction, distribution, perception and use of musical values (A. Sokhor). The article also deals with a systematic organization of the process of value creators’ reproduction, a production of the consumers of the artistic values, artistic critics and science of culture and art (M. Kagan). The author gives two definitions of the institutions of musical culture. The first one is narrower – the author views the institutions as specific organizations and establishments (musical and educational institutions, music libraries, publishing houses, concert-philharmonic, musical and theatrical establishments, etc.). The second one is much broader – the author defines "institutions" as forms of musical art existence, distributed in the society (forms of creativity, performance, perception, musical and artistic education) (I.Tsygankova). It has been proved that institutional layer is included into the structure of the society’s spiritual culture.
