Language issue through the prism of mechanism of public administration in the sphere of culture

The purpose of article is to analyze the prospects for granting the status of the second state language to the English language, taking into account the peculiarities of state policy in the sphere of culture. Research methodology is to disclose main problematic aspects associated with provision to the English language the status of official state lan- guage in Ukraine. The methodology of the research is based on the integrated use of the systemic and structural ap- proach, logical-legal and dialectical methods as well as method of analysis and synthesis. The scientific novelty of the work is that it develops logical and structural evidential base of expediency and necessity of giving the English language the status of the state language in Ukraine. The research proves the need for studying the English language by public officers. It justifies the necessity of spreading English as an instrument of optimization of international political and foreign economic relations. Conclusions. The work has established the importance of the problem of giving to the English lan- guage the status of the state language in terms of continuation of Ukraine’s integration into the world community, expan- sion of its economic and diplomatic ties and creation of conditions for free exchange of experience in various spheres of social relations. It has made a conclusion about the expediency of introducing the status of the state language into Eng- lish language because of a number of arguments, concerning the need for studying it by different categories of citizens.Downloads
