The components of regional tourism that influence national identity formation were singled out by method of generalization. Scientific novelty of the study lies in theoretical conceptualization of the regional tourism role in Ukrainian national identity formation. Conclusions. After the beginning of Russian aggression against Ukraine the process of national identification has intensified and cultural products introducing history, customs and traditions of Ukrainian regions became highly popular. Active military actions affected cultural service, even making it impossible in some regions. Despite this the tourist industry is developing and adapting to challenges of the war time. Regional tourist services are becoming more popular, helping Ukrainian people to understand deeper their history, culture and values that contribute to the national identification process. In this respect regional, historical and memorial tourism became widely demanded. Reopening and renovation of tourist destinations during the post-war period require the strategies taking into account cultural potential and challenges of post-war reconstruction. No less important are investment in regional tourism infrastructure, preservation of regional cultural legacy, scientific research of history and culture of local communities. Such activity facilitates economic development, strengthening national unity, promoting patriotism, formating national Ukrainian identity.
