The purpose of the work is to outline examples of forms of international support and assistance to Ukrainian cultural institutions, in particular, museums, during a full-scale invasion. The research methodology consists in using a case study – an analysis of specific examples of international support, studying strategies for assisting museum institutions, documenting forms of support; quantitative methods. The scientific novelty lies in an attempt to take a comprehensive look at the problem under study as the formation of international solidarity through institutional museum support. Conclusions. International organisations, institutions, funds and projects ICOMOS, ICCROM, UNESCO, Smithsonian Institution, Blue Shield, ALIPH, Cultural emergency response, World Monuments Fund, in cooperation with domestic specialists in the cultural heritage sector and the public, for example, the NGO Museum for Change, have taken many steps to preserve cultural values. The support of international partners consisted of organisational and financial assistance: consulting and training of domestic specialists in methods of documentation, conservation and restoration of damaged exhibits were provided, methods of preservation of objects, expertise and digitisation of the sphere were provided, the attention of the world community was attracted by the creation of joint projects, scientific events. Monitoring and documentation of damage to cultural heritage objects will serve as an evidentiary base for war crimes. Material assistance was also extremely valuable – packaging materials, protective equipment for saving collections, equipment and materials for restoring and strengthening buildings, setting up security systems and carrying out urgent restoration work. International support is important in working on plans for the future reconstruction and restoration of Ukraine's cultural infrastructure after the war, determining priorities for the effective use of resources. The support of international partners is invaluable, as cultural heritage plays an important role in preserving the identity and maintaining the morale of the Ukrainian people during the war with russia.
