The purpose of the article is to determine and analyse the potential of creative industries in the modernisation of the network of cultural institutions of territorial communities of Ukraine under martial law and to identify key trends, problems, and prospects for development. The research methodology is based on the use of systemic and comparative analysis, which examined the functioning of the network of cultural institutions in territorial communities in modern conditions, the development of creative industries in the regions and their role in the modernisation of cultural institutions, the identification and comparison of successful cultural practices and potential risks, and the generalisation method was used to formulate conclusions based on the analysis of the data obtained. The scientific novelty lies in the theoretical understanding of the potential of creative industries in the modernisation of the network of cultural institutions of territorial communities of Ukraine under martial law. Community cultural institutions can become a platform for the development of creative industries, which, in turn, have an impact on the development of cultural practices in the localities and combine the possibilities of a creative approach to the development of regional cultural space and the realisation of the potential of the local community, which is relevant in the context of current challenges and martial law. Conclusions. As a result of the study, it was found that in Ukraine, the issues of developing creative industries in regions that are increasingly integrated into the development of territorial communities are becoming increasingly relevant, as they have significant potential, because they shape the image of regions, contribute to increasing their competitiveness, cultural development, through the use of creative technologies. At the same time, creative industries can influence the development of cultural practices in the localities, and traditional cultural institutions can become a platform for their development in communities. However, the search for best practices for modernising the network of cultural institutions in communities is currently ongoing, which would contribute to optimising the costs of their maintenance, the cultural development of communities, and ensuring the availability of high-quality cultural services for the population and meeting their cultural and recreational needs. And to preserve and develop culture, including territorial communities under martial law, it is now necessary to develop innovative projects, develop international partnerships, and reform the financing system of this industry.
