The purpose of the article is to identify the features of transformation processes in Ukrainian musical pop culture through the prism of the concept of cultural nationalism. Research methodology. The method of scientific generalisation, functional method, systemic method was applied, thanks to which Ukrainian musical pop culture was considered as a complex multi-faceted system and at the same time as a subsystem of general cultures. Scientific novelty. Ukrainian musical pop culture 2014–2024 was studied through the prism of the concept of cultural nationalism and outlines the features of the transformation processes characteristic of the specified period, caused by the rise of national identity; the concepts of ‘popular culture’ and ‘musical culture’ are clarified, and a definition of the concept of ‘Ukrainian musical pop culture’ is proposed; the transformations of Ukrainian musical popular culture in the context of the activation of cultural nationalism are typified. Conclusions. Ukrainian musical pop culture in 2014–2024 underwent significant transformations, becoming an environment for the popularisation of pro-Ukrainian narratives and the understanding of socio-political issues important for the entire Ukrainian people. The main catalysts for changes within Ukrainian musical popular culture were Euromaidan, the Revolution of Dignity, the annexation of Crimea, the beginning of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine, and the Russian-Ukrainian war. At the present stage, Ukrainian musical pop culture is characterised by the intensification of national and ethnocultural issues, which is due to the priority position of the concept of cultural nationalism in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war. One of the most common images of modern domestic musical pop culture is an intellectual with a distinct national identity, whose work has an active influence on the formation of a worldview, national identity, strengthening patriotic feelings and heroic aspirations in the struggle for the freedom of Ukraine.
